About Dopp
In 1979 Buxton® acquired the worldwide exclusive rights to the DOPP® trademark. The DOPP name originated with Charles Doppelt, a German immigrant and leather worker, who founded its company in 1919. During World War II, the U.S. Government made this simple and highly functional travel kits, known as DOPP kits, standard issue for every serviceman and woman. After the war, the Charles Doppelt Company sold these kits to department and specialty stores and the DOPP brand became synonymous with finely crafted leather accessories.
The Dopp line of men's travel and travel kits includes a whole array of personal grooming gifts, personal leather accessories, and travel accessories. This past year Dopp for Woman was introduced for the first time on the market and has found instant acceptance. This expansion of women's fashion accessories line can be contributed to the well-known recognition of the DOPP trademark.
